About the survey
UN‑Nutrition is conducting a survey across UN Country Teams to better understand how nutrition is coordinated, prioritised, and integrated at country level across the UN system. The survey is aimed at capturing perspectives from UN colleagues working directly or indirectly on nutrition and contributing to nutrition outcomes through coordination, planning, programmes, or policy processes.
The survey is a short and practical exercise designed to take stock of current practices, identify what is working well, and better understand where challenges remain. The information collected will be used to inform future UN‑Nutrition support at country, regional, and global levels, ensuring that country‑level realities shape strategic priorities and actions.
Effective coordination and joint action on nutrition are essential for achieving sustainable nutrition outcomes and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals. Through this survey, UN‑Nutrition seeks to better understand how existing UN coordination mechanisms for nutrition are functioning, how joint programming and collaboration are taking place among UN entities, and how nutrition is being integrated into UN planning and policy frameworks at country level. The survey also aims to highlight good practices and successful joint approaches, as well as barriers that may limit impact.
The questionnaire takes approximately 20-25 minutes to complete and is available in English, French, and Spanish. It is mostly composed of multiple‑choice questions and is designed to be straightforward and easy to complete. Respondents can pause and return to the survey at any time without losing their responses. All responses are strictly confidential and will be analysed only in aggregate.
The survey is intended for UN colleagues at country level who are directly or indirectly engaged in nutrition‑related work. Participants are invited to complete the survey in their individual capacity, based on their own experience and perspective, rather than through a collective or consensus‑based response.
We encourage broad participation across UN entities to ensure that a wide range of perspectives is reflected. The insights generated through this survey will contribute to a clearer and more comprehensive picture of nutrition coordination and collaboration across the UN system, helping to strengthen collective action and support more effective nutrition outcomes at country level.
