UNFCCC Side Event: Achieving Food and Nutrition Security, Climate, Nature, and Development Goals through Food Systems

The event is also supported by Irish Aid, FCDO, and GIZ.
Background:
This session will showcase countries’ progress in addressing climate change and enhancing food security and nutrition through food systems transformation, alongside other co-benefits such as protecting and restoring nature and improving socioeconomic outcomes.
Objectives:
- Tell a positive story of real change at national level by showcasing inspiring national stories, while also recognizing challenges
- Advocate a systemic approach by highlighting interconnections between different food systems domains and potential for win-wins
- Link climate action on food systems to outcomes on hunger and malnutrition
- Showcase initiatives and solutions supporting countries
