Rome Nutrition Week 2026
Shaping the Future of Joint Nutrition Action in a Changing World
Rome Nutrition Week 2026 (RNW26) will take place from 25 to 28 May 2026 at FAO Headquarters in Rome (Viale delle Terme di Caracalla, 00153 Roma RM, Italy - See on Maps) and Online (Zoom), under the overarching theme “Shaping the Future of Joint Nutrition Action in a Changing World.”
Building on the momentum of previous editions, RNW26 will focus on strengthening practical collaboration and coordination across institutions and sectors to accelerate progress toward ending hunger and malnutrition, aligned with the extended UN Decade of Action on Nutrition and the World Health Assembly global nutrition targets to 2030.
With a formal programme of sessions and a rich calendar of activities—including exhibitions in the FAO Atrium—the week will culminate in a High-Level Flagship Event on 28 May marking World Nutrition Day.
Daily Focus Areas
Rome Nutrition Week 2026 will take place over four days, combining high-level dialogue, technical exchange and interactive experiences. Each day will spotlight a key dimension of coordinated nutrition action:
25 May
Nutrition Evidence and Innovation for Agrifood Systems Transformation (FAO)
26 May
Aligning Finance for Nutrition Integration (IFAD)
27 May
Local Food Solutions for Global Impact (WFP)
28 May
Delivering as One for Coherent Nutrition Action (UN-Nutrition)
The daily programme will consist of one plenary session held in the Sheikh Zayed Centre (SZC) and organized by the Rome-based agencies and UN-Nutrition. At least three thematic sessions per day will also be organized in Ethiopia Room, FAO Headquarters. The week will culminate in the high-level session on 28 May, marking World Nutrition Day and bringing together UN senior leadership, Permanent Representatives to the Rome-based agencies, and global partners to provide strategic direction and renew commitments toward stronger coordination and collective action on nutrition.
